Despite the economic sanction on Iran, two petrochemical projects have been announced in Assalouyeh to produce 2.25 million tons of domestic petrochemical production capacity by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.The petrochemical complex is said to be the second largest global unit and the largest middle East unit for urea production in a single facility with expected turnover of US$550 million when operating, although business skeptics are worrying on the figure with the current situation in Iran.
